Data Experts (Pvt) Limited (datEx) is the consultant for the Purbachal New town Project (PNTP) which is the referred to as the first Smart City of Bangladesh. We hold pride as Purbachal New Town Project won the Asian Townscape Award -2019.
The United Nations Human Settlements Programme UN-Habitat, Asian Habitat Society, Asian Townscape Design Society and Fukuoka Asian Urban Research Society jointly presented the award. Jury Board nominated Purbachal New Town Project after scrutinizing 36 Housing Projects sent from different countries of the Asia Pacific regions for the competition on August 20, 2019.
Well-designed Plot Arrangement, Planned Development of Infrastructure, Development of Social and Religious Infrastructure, Forest Reservation to Maintain Ecological Balance, Tree Plantation and Park, Playgrounds and Engaging Locals with the Project were Given Priority while Nominating for the Award.
Besides, the construction of the Purbachal Iconic Tower at sector -19 of the project, under-construction National Cricket Stadium at sector- 1 and under-construction Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Centre played a vital role to get the award. RAJUK implemented the New Town Project on 1617.7 acres of land under Kaliganj thana of Gazipur and 4459.6 acres of land under Rupganj thana of Narayanganj (modified).
